A Blended Learning Showcase is planned to be held on October 16, 2009 at PolyU as part of the 3C Project. This showcase will be the final event as part of the 1 week international consultancy visit from Professor Diana Laurillard. The 2009 Teaching and Learning Innovation Annual Award will also be presented at the Showcase.

Professor Laurillard has agreed to visit PolyU from the 12th to 16th October 2009. During her visit she will collaborate within departments, with the eLearning Advocates and with the wider PolyU community through various dissemination events. Professor Laurillard will also present an open-to-all lecture on Oct 16. The purpose of the Blended Learning Showcase is to share PolyU's best eLearning / Blended Learning practices and to celebrate PolyU's achievements in the area of eLearning / blended learning. By having such a high profile keynote speaker, the Showcase will attract interest from staff across all areas of PolyU as well as other universities in Hong Kong.

Throughout the project we plan to disseminate and promote the project to as wide an audience as possible. An essential aspect of cultural change is to make some noise and create some energy about the process and benefits. At the end of the project we hope to have shared the results with as wide an audience as possible in order to enhance PolyU's reputation for educational excellence. It is expected that events like the Blended Learning Showcase and the Teaching Innovation Symposium will also challenge the assumptions about eLearning, raise the profile of eLearning / Blended Learning and celebrate and reward good practice.
